Notes from Kristi

Well, I am officially "CV" again. We moved up here to North Logan last September and bought our first home. We really didn't think this was in the plans for us (being back in Cache Valley), but it has worked out perfectly and I can't believe how fun it is to paint my own walls!
Gordon is teaching psychology at Logan High. He is super happy and LOVES his job. Right now he's teaching summer school math- he doesn't love this so much, but only 17 more days! He just ran his first marathon in Ogden on May 17th. He did so awesome and I was way proud of him. I wasn't so much proud of the barf he splattered all over the side of the car when he puked out the window on the way home, but guess that comes with the running!!
Dillon is going to be 3 this September 27th. He is so much fun it's sick. We just got him a trampoline (which he lovingly calls his "jumpoline"), and I think we're pretty much set for the rest of the summer. He loves that thing. Of course he keeps us very busy and on our toes, but he is really a good little guy for being 2.
The biggest news from our way is that I just had a baby girl! Haylee was born May 21st and weighed 7 lbs 4 oz, was 19.5 inches long, and is absolutely beautiful. Sorry to disappoint you all, but she did not inherit my circular-round head like Dillon did. She looks more like Gordon than me. Dillon loves her (almost too much), and so far she has been a perfect little baby.
So right now I'm on maternity leave, but when we moved up here I got a job on labor and delivery. LOVE working there. After 12 luxurious weeks off I am going back one day a week to keep my little license up.
There's a long update from yours truly! It's super fun to hear what you are all up to and miss you guys!!

Vic

Things have been a bit crazy. I just finished my internship in Sacramento and moved to Los Angeles yesterday for my last intenship. Today's my first day working at shriner's childrens hospital and funny enough i'm 2 1/2 hours early... Go figure eh? Haha. Well I love California so far but i'm not so much a fan of the traffic and lack of parking. Anyway once I finish here at the end of Aug, I head back to Fl to take my exit exams and finish my certifications for 4 months and begin the interview process and finally take a job... Somewhere. Haha. I'm dating an amazing man named Steffan who (i'm hoping to convert) currently lives in savannah Ga.it's a crazy story how we met... We met at a jazz restaurant in savannah, he was out to dinner with his sister and I was having a last time out with my girlfriends from grad school before we all split for internships and graduations. Some guy asked me to dance so of course I danced and on my way back to my table Steffan stopped me and told me how amazing it was that I would dance with a total stranger. We ended up running into eachother a few times later that night (which I recently found out he planned) and then decided to hang out together the rest of the night. We ended up going our separate ways around 3am. He went home and I back to the hotel with the girls. He asked me to breakfast but I had to leave town at 7am to go to cali for internships. My 1st day on the road we talked on the phone for 6 hours straight-a new record for me! Haha. We've been unlove ever since. I went to go see him memorial day weekend and met his family and he's planned to visit me at least once a month while i'm out here in L.A. He wants me to take a job in savannah but said that if I decide to take a job up north or out west he'll follow me. Anyway, I'll stop talking about him cause i'm still in that 'he's all I talk about' stage. Haha. Other than school and Steffan, things are going great! I read everyone's blog and I love hearing about everyone. Well, guess i'd better get back to work. Miss you! guessi'd

Notes from Lyndzi

Well I must say that it has been quite fun posting this blog. So now that I have heard from all of you, I will let you in on me. I am married still, and we live in Midvale. We love working on our house and we have become quite the fixer uppers. I have found my new love of gardening and I am a true garden nerd. Jake makes fun of me quit a bit for it. The family is good. My Mom misses all of you gals too. Jake is building fancy schmancy staircases for Bishop Woodworking and I am still working as the assistant manager at Mountain America Credit Union. We are work aholics but in our spare time we have been watching Biggest Loser or American Idol. We also hang out with family or play with our only child named Cleo. Yes, she is a little weiner dog and she rules the roof at our house. I love the picture of her. Also, the other picture is from a murder mystery dinner we did and Jake and I were Sunny and Cher. Don't we look real. I even put Mascara on his mustache and my eyebrows for the full effect. It was lots of fun. We both have callings in the Youth. Jake is in the Scouts and I am in the Young Women and it keeps us busy. We have quite a few little 12 and 13 year olds that think that we are their second parents and we just love it. This summer I am playing softball on a co-ed team again. It is pretty fun. I play 2nd base and I love it. Jake likes to take his dirt bike out any chance he can get. Mostly it is around the block but on the weekends he gets to take it up in the hills. I love being married. Can't wait for you to join the club Geri!

Notes from Rachel

We are still in Las Vegas and loving it. Brian and I both graduated with Master's degrees in December. He is still working on getting his teaching license and will hopefully be a certified teacher by the fall. I am teaching Microbiology part time at the community college and really enjoying it. There are no classes for the summer, so I will start again in the fall. Leah is 4 years old. She is in preschool and dance class, so I stay busy running her around. Annie will be 2 in June and she is super fun. I just look at her and chuckle. She is quite naughty, but it is hard to be mad when she looks up at you and smiles. We are also expecting baby number 3 on October 20th. On June 3rd we will find out if we are getting a tweeter or a begonia. I must admit that I am nervous about a tweeter coming, but we will take what we get. If any of you are ever in our neck of the woods, feel free to contact us and we can take you around.

Lisa's Notes

I am living in Ogden, just down the street from the maxi pad. We go to the church right across from that sacred shrine. I heard recently that the city had to "shut down" the maxi pad and insist that the residents be family. So now a white trash family is living there, and I think Jacque has his rv parked in the front.
Anyhow, I married Michael Allen who was in our singles ward. We lived in Arizona for a while, then we came back here and we've lived in his cute old house ever since. I have a love hate relationship with the house. It's so fun to work on it and make it our own, and I love its character, but there are always things to do with it.
I teach Sophomore and Junior English at Davis High, and I love it. I'm also five months pregnant with a baby girl that's due August 15th. I'm so excited to be a mom and also a little nervous for the upcoming transition.
As far as a favorite memory goes, I think there's too many to tell. But one that comes to mind is when I came home one night only to find my room covered from floor to ceiling in pictures of boobs. Not naked boobs; just bra-covered boobs cut out of Victoria's Secret catalogs. I have never seen a group of girls so proud of themselves as I did that night.
So that's about it. I think of you girls often and hope you're all doing well! I'd love to hear from you guys anytime!

Well I had a baby. His name is Emerson Francis Minalga after Drew’s Grandfather. I work two days a week at Research park at the U. I more famous there for a picture I took as a joke, which is showing up on a few brochures for the U’s brain Institute and Nueropathology program. Drew Watches Emerson one day and I bring him to work on the other. Still live in Kaysville. Just to be fair to Drew we may move to Pittsburgh in the future. A sound wall is going up behind our house and I am ubber excited.
